Beneficiation methods include gravity separation, magnetic separation and flotation. Gravity separation is to make use of the different density characteristics of pyrite and gangue to separate and gather them in water or a special heavy medium to achieve other purposes. Magnetic separation is the use of Fe3O4 high magnetic conductivity and gangue no magnetic characteristics, with permanent magnet or electromagnet to attract magnetite minerals in fine grinding powder (mostly by wet magnetic separation), so as to achieve the purpose of rich separation, flotation is the use of iron bearing minerals and gangue hydrophilic characteristics of different, in the mineral processing medium containing many bubbles, hydrophobic minerals with bubbles rise, Hydrophilic minerals leave the bubble and sink, so as to achieve the purpose of iron minerals and gangue separation.

The three important points of beneficiation production are: beneficiation ratio, concentrate yield and metal recovery rate.

Beneficiation ratio is the amount of raw ore used per unit of concentrate, and concentrate yield is the amount of concentrate produced per unit of raw ore, and the two are reciprocal of each other. The metal recovery rate is the ratio of the amount of metal in the concentrate to the amount of that metal in the raw ore.
